Anne (played by Trine Dyrholm) is a highly experienced lawyer specializing in juvenile sex abuse cases. She has been married to her husband Peter (played by Magnus Krepper) for many years, and their relationship is very stable. To outsiders, Anne is seen as a successful winner in both career and love. However, Anne's life begins to unravel the moment Peter's son Gustav (played by Gustav Lindh) from a previous marriage moves in with them. Gustav has a rough and rebellious personality and shows no respect for Anne as his stepmother. Yet this conflict ignites a different kind of passion within Anne, as she rediscovers long-lost excitement in her life through Gustav. Ultimately, Anne and Gustav cross the ethical line, and in an effort to salvage their relationship from the devastating impact it has on her family and career, Anne decides to use her professional expertise to sacrifice Gustav.
