Li Hanxiang, a renowned director from Hong Kong. Born in Liaoning, raised in Beiping, he studied under Xu Beihong. During the war years, he made his way to Hong Kong, and after many twists and turns became a director. Over the decades, he experienced the ups and downs of life, producing notable works but also facing criticism. In the blink of thirty years, this great director has turned the joyous events he encountered and heard about since entering the film industry into a movie. For example, during the filming of "The Legend of the White Snake," Fa Hai was caught having a secret romance with an actress in a sedan chair; a big star known for being late caused outrage among the entire crew and ended up being teased; an actress fell from a wire and discovered she had been pregnant for two months; and the director personally guided the leading lady in filming a French kiss scene. Various amusing incidents, previously unheard of... This film is adapted from Li Hanxiang's column of the same name, which was serialized at the invitation of the "Oriental Daily" under the title "Thirty Years of Telling from the Beginning," recounting the secret stories and interesting incidents that occurred in the entertainment industry since he entered filmmaking. This column was serialized for three years and reprinted in many newspapers and magazines. This film is also Li's last movie made for Shaw Brothers.
