The Haruno family lives in a peaceful and tranquil small mountain village. Their life is serene and happy, but each family member has their own worries. The grandfather (played by Iseya Yusuke) is eccentric and behaves strangely, engrossed in the production of personal animation; the father (played by Miura Tomokazu) is a home-based hypnotherapist who is focused on his work and has little time for anything else; the wife, Yoshiko (played by Tezuka Rumi), finally finds a break from her busy life caring for her daughter, and decides to resume her painting work on the family dining table. The couple rarely communicates, leading to a growing distance between them; their eldest son, Aichi (played by Sato Takahiro), has fallen for a new transfer student and hesitates to express his feelings; their youngest daughter, Sachiko (played by Sakano Maya), believes her head is constantly growing, and this strange fantasy causes her distress. The carefree uncle (played by Asano Tadanobu) returns from Tokyo, bringing a touch of liveliness to this ordinary yet somewhat peculiar family...
