From a broken family, Jia Cong (Chen Jia Le) and his unappreciated single mother, Pei Yi (Zhou Jia Yi), establish a company that provides "rental family" services. By chance, Jia Cong discovers temporary actor Zhi Guang (Zeng Zhi Wei), who is obsessed with acting, and invites him to join the "rental family" team, to which Zhi Guang readily agrees.
