Based on a true story of a gangster hero. Warren Beatty plays Bugsy Siegel, a pursuer of the American Dream who was once a notorious hitman on the East Coast. While expanding his territory to the West Coast in Los Angeles, he becomes infatuated with the seductive actress Virginia Hill, leading to a tumultuous romance. On another front, he takes an interest in a stretch of barren land in Las Vegas and decides to invest heavily to transform it into a luxurious casino filled with wine and song.
