Living in a children's home, Lou embarks on a journey to her grandmother's house in Poland with her suddenly visiting mother. How will the long-separated mother and daughter spend this time together? This is a rebellious female road movie directed and written by Dutch filmmaker Zara Dwinger, who not only deconstructs traditional notions of the mother-daughter relationship thematically but also intercuts the main storyline with a wealth of classic black-and-white film and cartoon clips, creating a whimsical and playful atmosphere. Many scenes pay homage to classic Hollywood road films that audiences will find familiar, bringing smiles to generations of film lovers. Nominated for the New Generation Children’s section at the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival.
