This story is adapted from the New York Times' annual bestselling novel — the 2008 work of the same name. In the story, Adrien Brody plays Porter Wren, a writer in Manhattan, who is originally a model father and husband. He is drawn into a romantic entanglement while investigating the mysterious murder of a stranger's husband at her request. JB plays his wife, Lisa Wren.
