The story follows Yoko Mano, a high school girl who has become the 108th demon hunter, continuing to battle demons since ancient times. While inheriting the "heroine fighting with a sword" genre, which has settled as a sub-genre of beautiful girl works since the 1980s, it stands out from existing works that leaned towards Western fantasy represented by bikini armor, with Yoko's costume design in a cheongsam attracting attention. Additionally, the opening lines during her transformation and the nudity scene reminiscent of Cutie Honey during the transformation have become series staples.
