The OVA animated series "Chocolate and Vanilla" tells the story of the male protagonist, Mizunatsuki Yoshiki, who leaves his family's traditional Japanese sweet shop to run a cake shop named "La Soleil" as a Western-style pastry chef. However, within the luggage sent from his hometown, the figurine cats Chocolate and Vanilla are mixed in. Although Yoshiki wants to send them back home, he ends up keeping the two cat girls at their request, and thus he runs "La Soleil" with one person and two cats.
