Pierre is a 30-year-old dairy farmer whose life revolves around the family farm he took over, his cows, his sister who works as a veterinarian, and his parents. The sudden emergence of "mad cow disease" cases in France disrupts Pierre's peaceful life. As news reports indicate that the outbreak is spreading and could potentially affect his cows, Pierre goes to great lengths to hide the outbreak to avoid a total collapse of his farm and life.
