[OVA Synopsis] In a dream of becoming a Prima, Akari starts to feel confusion about her familiar daily scenery. Even after waking, this unease does not dissipate, and a question slowly arises in Akari's mind: "Why did Alicia choose me (to join AIRA COMPANY)?" To answer this question from her dream, Alicia begins to recount her past. Gradually, the history of Akari's joining AIRA Company unfolds page by page. What are the beliefs and traditions that have been passed down through generations, starting from the all-capable navigator Grandma who founded AIRA? [Plot Introduction] In the year 2301, as futuristic technology advances, a desolate planet is transformed into a shimmering "Mercury," which people call "AQUA." The most famous tourism city in "AQUA," "New Venice," is home to a group of beautiful girls with dreams. In this increasingly prosperous tourist city, with a constant influx of immigrants, the profession of tour guides, made up of women, feels particularly welcoming; these girls are called "Mercury Navigators," rowing small boats to show tourists the beautiful sights of the city. The innocent and somewhat confused 15-year-old Akari, filled with dreamfulness, has come to the sightseeing city "New Venice" on "Mercury" from far-off Earth, aspiring to become a Mercury Navigator. The first season of "Meruru's Navigator," "ARIA The ANIMATION," aired as a new series in October 2005 for thirteen episodes; subsequently, the second season of the TV anime "ARIA The NATURAL" began broadcasting in April 2006 for twenty-six episodes. On June 23, 2006, the DVD release of the first season, with all six volumes, concluded, and one month later, the DVD of the second season began its release, culminating in all nine volumes being available by March 23 of this year.
