It is a compilation of the 13 episodes of the TV series aired from July to September 2015, depicting a dark fantasy where an unremarkable young man in reality becomes the strongest wizard in a virtual reality online game. Similar to the TV series, Madhouse handled the animation production, and Naoyuki Itou served as the director. Dressed in black armor and wielding twin swords, Ainz registered as a warrior in the guild to obtain information and gold in this world, transforming into the adventurer Momon. He fulfills a request from a boy named Nfirea, a pharmacist, alongside the adventurer team known as the Black Sword, and ultimately defeats a fearsome beast known as the Wise King of the Forest, returning with it as a servant to E-Rantel.
