Kato Marika (voiced by Mikako Komatsu) from the high school division of Bai Feng Women's Academy is a legal space pirate who has been granted a "privateer license" by the government. This busy girl rushes between her studies, part-time jobs, and clubs, while also managing the affairs of the space pirate ship Benten as its captain, hardly getting a moment to spare. During spring break before her promotion to the third grade, Marika, who is engaging in pirate activities on a luxury passenger ship, suddenly discovers an ultra VIP on the passenger list with a Galactic Pass—Mugen Mikado (voiced by Asami Shimoda). This mysterious boy is being hunted by suspicious individuals, relying on his father, Dr. Mugen's inventions to escape, and Marika and her group are inevitably drawn into the chaos and unknown situation... This film is adapted from the sci-fi light novel by Yuichi Sasamoto, illustrated by Noriyuki Matsumoto.
