The story takes place in the early 21st century, where a great disaster leads to the "Life Administration" replacing the original government as the highest leadership organization in the country. After a baptism of death, people begin to pay special attention to the importance of life. Consequently, the government implants "WatchMe" devices in residents' bodies to monitor and intervene in their health status, which means that bodies are no longer personal possessions but are managed by the state. Suicide is considered an unforgivable crime. Three girls, Wu Hui (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro), Yu Leng Miga (voiced by Reina Ueda), and Lingxia Tang Jian (voiced by Aya Suzaki), have doubts about the existing system. Under Miga's leadership, they prepare to commit suicide to challenge the system, but ultimately, Miga dies, and the plan fails. Years later, Wu Hui and Jian reunite, while simultaneously, thousands of collective suicide cases occur across the country, revealing a complex connection between the truth behind these incidents and Miga's death years ago.
