On a beautiful day, people go about their daily lives and work as usual; a wedding is taking place in a church, and friends and family are happy for the couple. Suddenly, a gust of wind blows through, and strange things begin to happen; it seems as if people are suffering from amnesia. Cars collide recklessly on the streets, helicopters in the sky lose control and crash, and people no longer recognize each other, forget their names, and even forget how to speak. As time progresses, the situation spirals further out of control; due to a shortage of resources, people begin to turn against one another, and thousands of years of human culture vanish in an instant, carried away by the gentle breeze.
The boy A-Du (voiced by Kazuki Yao) experiences a regression in intelligence to that of an infant. With only the help of the unforgotten teenager Johnny, he begins to learn and recognize, slowly returning to the level of a normal person, while Johnny's condition deteriorates until he ultimately passes away. A-Du is determined to uncover the secret behind the amnesiac wind, and he sets out from San Francisco, traversing the North American continent to New York, searching for the reason behind everyone's amnesia...
