In a fictional world, the Kingdom of Rewam is embroiled in a protracted war against the Heavenly Empire. Prince Carlo of Rewam leads his troops in battle, constantly hoping for the war to end so he can marry his fiancée, Fana, who is far away in Saint Martilia (voiced by竹富聖花). To undermine Rewam's morale, the Heavenly Empire sends troops to make a surprise attack on Saint Martilia, aiming to assassinate Fana. To protect Fana, the kingdom decides to send her to Prince Carlo, but the journey is fraught with danger as the Heavenly Empire has heavily fortified the route. After facing numerous setbacks, the kingdom entrusts this critical mission to the lowborn mercenary, Charles (voiced by神木隆之介), who will pilot the most advanced reconnaissance aircraft to escort Fana to her destination.
