Bradley Edward Manning, United States Army Private First Class. He illegally downloaded 250,000 classified U.S. government documents and handed them over to WikiLeaks, taking advantage of his position. He bragged about this to another hacker, Adrian Lamo, online, which led to him being reported. In 2013, Manning was sentenced to 35 years in military prison. After his sentencing, he announced that he would transition to female and changed his name to Chelsea Manning. In 2016, Manning underwent gender reassignment surgery in prison. In January 2017, former U.S. President Obama commuted his sentence before leaving office, and Manning was released in May of the same year. In March 2019, Manning was arrested again. On April 22, 2019, a U.S. federal court denied Manning's bail appeal, and he would continue to serve time.
