In an ordinary town, a typical elementary school student, Nanoha Takamachi (voiced by Yukari Tamura), lives with her family of five and enjoys carefree days with her friends, Suigintou Tsukimura (voiced by Ai Shimizu) and Elisa Barinas (voiced by Rie Kugimiya). One day, they accidentally discover a ferret-like creature named Yuno Scrya (voiced by Kaori Mizuhashi). After saving the injured Yuno, strange monsters begin to appear in their town. With Yuno's help, Nanoha transforms into a magical girl using her Rising Heart and defeats the invading monsters, learning about the secret of the Jewel Seeds and her own mission. In the days that follow, she starts training to become a qualified magical girl while keeping it a secret from her friends. That night, a mysterious magical girl, Fate Testarossa (voiced by Nana Mizuki), suddenly appears and engages in a fierce battle with Nanoha. Their fated encounter begins...
