A large-scale space war, the first of its kind experienced by humanity, has broken out between the Earth Federation Government and the Self-Defense Kingdom. In the final year of the war, artificial mobile weapons—Mobile Suits—were formally introduced into human conflicts. A young boy named Kamiyu S, residing in a space colony, seized a new type of Mobile Suit, the Gundam MK-II, to rebel against the Federation soldiers and joined the anti-Earth Federation organization "AEUG." The elite of the Federation army, deprived of the Gundam MK-II, organized the "Titans" and resorted to despicable methods, taking Kamiyu's parents hostage. In the end, Kamiyu's parents were brutally murdered right before his eyes. Standing beside Kamiyu is Quattro Bajeena, formerly known as the ace pilot Mash, whose dream is to make the military invincible. Kamiyu, recovering from the sorrow of losing his parents, fights for the "AEUG." He descends to Earth through the atmosphere and encounters a mysterious man, who turns out to be Mash's old nemesis, the legendary figure Char Aznable.
