Kuroko Tetsuya and Kagami Taiga join the Seirin High School basketball team. Compared to the basketball prodigy Kagami, Kuroko is a player who has "almost no presence" on the court. However, Kuroko was once part of the powerful basketball team at Teiko Middle School, where he fought alongside five geniuses known as the "Generation of Miracles," earning the title of the "Phantom Sixth Man" on the court. The duo of "Shadow" and "Light" became the key players for their school team, leading Seirin High School to success in the winter selection tournament, defeating various strong teams that included members of the "Generation of Miracles," and claiming the national championship. At the end of the summer after their second year in high school, a street basketball team composed of American basketball prodigies around 18 years old, called "Jabberwock," visited Japan and played a friendly match against the Japanese national team. They overwhelmingly defeated the Japanese team and mocked them. This angered Seirin High School basketball coach Riko's father, Keiko, a former Japanese national basketball player. He decided to gather Kuroko and Kagami, along with other members of the "Generation of Miracles," to form a dream team called "VORPAL SWORDS," vowing to take revenge on the "Jabberwock"! A fierce final battle has begun!
