In 2046, various aspects of life are conducted in a virtual network. No matter how advanced time becomes, bullying will never disappear. Haruyuki is one of the bullied students. On October 5, 2015, the production decision for the new animated work "Accel World INFINITE BURST" was announced at the "Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival 2015," and on February 8, 2016, it was revealed that the new animated work would be a theatrical release, which premiered on July 23.
