In the summer of her second year of high school, the beautiful girl Rika Wutou (voiced by Yoko Sakamoto) leaves the bustling metropolis of Tokyo with her mother and arrives in the quaint and tranquil town of Kochi. Smart and beautiful, Rika stands out in this remote place, attracting the romantic attention of boys, while her aloof personality earns her some criticism from girls. Her class president, Yutaka Matsuno (voiced by Toshihiko Seki), secretly has feelings for her, and Matsuno's friend Taku Dosaki (voiced by Nobuo Tobita) also seems to be quite concerned about Rika. During the Golden Week, Rika invites Taku to return to Tokyo with her, and for the first time, Taku senses the most vulnerable emotions hidden within this seemingly cold girl. They seem to draw closer together, yet feel further apart... The film is a television movie adapted from the original work by Saeko Himuro, directed by Tomoharu Mitsuuchi, who is known for his pure love-themed animations, with representative works like "Mitsubachi no Nichijou" and "Orange Road".
