One day, Nobita, Shizuka, and Gian were invited by Suneo to his home to see dinosaur fossils. Of course, Nobita couldn't escape being teased by Suneo again. In an effort to save face in front of Suneo, Nobita bragged that dinosaur fossils were nothing special and that he would show his friends a real dinosaur! Miraculously, Nobita actually found a live dinosaur egg! He and Doraemon hatched the baby dinosaur at home and secretly raised it in the park. The baby dinosaur grew bigger every day, and news of a monster in the park spread throughout Japan. In order for the baby dinosaur to grow up healthy, everyone decided to send it back to the Cretaceous period using the time machine. Unexpectedly, a mysterious person was secretly following them and also arrived in the Cretaceous period to capture the baby dinosaur. To protect the baby dinosaur, Doraemon, Nobita, Suneo, Gian, and Shizuka traveled back to the Cretaceous period once again...
