On a certain new moon night, Inuyasha and his companions engage in a final battle against the demon Naraku. After intense fighting, they finally eliminate this evil demon, bringing a long war to an end. Kagome briefly returns to the modern world to recuperate, and then sets off again with Inuyasha and Shippo on a journey to find the shards of the Shikon Jewel; the monk Miroku's Wind Tunnel has disappeared, and he returns to the temple to pay respects to his father; Sango searches everywhere with Kirara for her wandering brother Kohaku.
