The peaceful days do not last long; the freed Kagura, guided by Kanna, encounters the sealed Kaguyahime in the Mirror of Life. Fifty years ago, under the power of Kaguyahime, the land was plunged into a permanent night of the full moon. Miroku's father, the monk Myouga, sealed her away. To break the seal, Kaguyahime instructs Kagura to find five treasures: the Dragon Head Jewel, the Penglai Jade Branch, the Buddha's Stone Bowl, the Fire Rat Robe, and the Swallow's Child Amulet. Eager to gain everlasting freedom, Kagura willingly serves her, even attacking Inuyasha and Kohaku. To prevent the destruction of the world, Inuyasha and his companions reunite and head toward Mount Fuji, where Kaguyahime resides...
