Uehara Ichiro (played by Toyokawa Etsushi) lived in a corner of Tokyo and was once a renowned anarchist movement leader in the 1980s. After the movement declined, he eloped with the wealthy Miss Sakura (played by Amami Yuki) and they had three lovely children: Yoko (played by Kitagawa Keiko), Jiro (played by Tanabe Shuto), and Momoko (played by Matsumoto Rina). Their daily livelihood mainly depends on the café run by Sakurada. Ichiro, who is out of touch with physical labor, maintains the rebellious attitude of his youth, disapproving of various policies from the national level to the school level, followed by ruthless denunciations that make Jiro extremely embarrassed. Shortly after, Jiro faces the risk of expulsion for injuring a delinquent boy. In this crisis, Sakurada boldly suggests that the family move to Ichiro's hometown, Iriomote Island in Okinawa, to start a new life surrounded by beautiful scenery. However, Ichiro's battle never ends… This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Okuda Hideo.
