On a tranquil day, a few sparse guests are seated in the theater. On stage, Wurotei Mariko (voiced by Sakura Ayane) is performing, but before she can land her punchline, applause breaks out from the audience, clearly indicating their unwillingness to hear her performance. In a panic, Mariko hastily finishes her act and returns backstage to vent her frustrations to her companions. While her friends sympathize with Mariko’s predicament, they are reminded of her embarrassing moments at places like orchestral concerts and baseball fields where she clapped and cheered out of turn. Later in the story, the girls take advantage of a holiday to go out and decide to pay a visit to the publisher that has looked after them. One day backstage, Kurumi hides in a corner practicing a new routine, but gets so focused that her features become all scrunched together. This film is based on the manga of the same name by Kōji Kumeta (original work) and Tai (art), serving as an OAD for the same-titled anime.
