Hart (voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi) is a Tyrannosaurus Rex raised by herbivorous dinosaurs. In fact, when it hatched, the leader of the herbivores had ordered Hart's mother (played by Tomoyo Harada) to abandon it, but she secretly raised it anyway. As Hart grew older, the daily diet of wild fruits left him constantly hungry, and he ultimately succumbed to his instincts, starting a brutal life as a carnivore. However, due to his mother's influence, a kind heart still dwells deep within Hart. One day, he accidentally encounters a hatchling herbivorous dinosaur, who mistakenly believes Hart to be its "dad" and names it "Delicious," thus beginning an unusual father-son relationship between the two dinosaurs. Yet, as the living environment deteriorates, the survival of the dinosaurs faces unprecedented destruction. Will Hart and his family be able to withstand the test...? This work is adapted from the manga of the same name by the renowned Japanese manga artist Tatsuya Miyanishi, which won the Kenyū Picture Book Award Grand Prize.
