Introverted and honest high school student Tendo Jun (voiced by Kenichi Ono) has grown up in the beautiful and comfortable Kyoto. One day, he is suddenly attacked by an evil spirit and, in panic, runs into an ancient temple where he is rescued by the monk Gen'un (voiced by Shido Nakamura). Unexpectedly, he is taken back to the distant Heian era. It turns out that during the Heian era, evil spirits were rampant and waged a series of wars against humans. In order to exterminate the hungry spirits, Gen'un brings Tendo, known as the Savior, across time and space. In the latest battle, Tendo inadvertently awakens the Yamata no Orochi, said to be capable of destroying the evil spirits, while trying to save his companions. By chance, he and the serpent rescue the evil spirit Mizuhane, who is being hunted by nobles, discovering the true nature of the evil spirits, which shakes his belief as the Savior…This film is based on the original work by Takada Takashi.
