After escaping the cave and surviving the apocalypse, the Crood family decides to search for a new home. Along the way, Guy (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) has become part of the Crood family, but what troubles Grug (voiced by Nicolas Cage) is that Guy and his daughter Dawn (voiced by Emma Stone) are lovey-dovey every day, dreaming of starting a little family of their own. Just when the Croods are starving, they discover a hidden paradise with abundant food behind high walls, which was created by Hop and Ellie, who are friends of Guy's late parents. After initially warm hospitality, Hop and Ellie, who are eager to pair up Guy with their daughter, find out that the Croods have become a stumbling block. To steal Guy away, they start scheming. The two families end up at odds, causing a rift between Guy and Dawn, all while a danger slowly approaches…
