Poppy (voiced by Anna Kendrick) is the princess of Troll Village, blessed with magical powers and colorful hair. She is optimistic, cheerful, and loves to sing. However, one day, her friends are captured by their arch-nemeses, the Bergens. To save her best friends from the Bergens, Poppy seeks help from the village's outcast, Branch (voiced by Justin Timberlake). Branch is a cynical pessimist who reluctantly agrees to assist the princess, intending to show her that the world is not as sweet as she believes. Throughout their journey, they encounter many strange and amusing situations, discovering things about themselves they never realized before. Most importantly, with Poppy's help, they uncover the ultimate secret weapon capable of saving the entire Troll Village.
