The story of The Elegance Chronicles takes place in the virtual Kunlun World, specifically on the Wind Continent among four continents. It mainly narrates the journey of the protagonist, Lancelot, from a wild boy to a king who unifies the Wind Continent through numerous trials. The wild boy Lancelot encounters the disguised princess, Little Grass, who is wandering in Hangzhou, and meets the dragon clan's young master, Ziyu, who is in seclusion in Hangzhou for healing. Lancelot falls head over heels for Ziyu at first sight and vows to achieve great things to win her heart. In Hangzhou, Lancelot pursues Ziyu, completely unaware of Little Grass's growing feelings for him. Lancelot and Little Grass are hunted down after uncovering the conspiracy of Mr. Chi, who seeks to reclaim the throne by any means necessary. During their adventure, they rescue Feng'er, who has transformed into a cat girl. Meanwhile, Ziyu, under the guidance of her senior, Zhou Gongjin, secretly protects the two. It turns out that Lancelot's mysterious bloodline has attracted Zhou Gongjin's desire; only by capturing Lancelot can he gain the secret manual, the Tianmo Jing, hidden beneath the Leifeng Pagoda, as well as cure Ziyu's hidden ailment. Lancelot ultimately vanquishes Mr. Chi's dark forces, Ziyu obtains the Ice Cicada, and although she injures Lancelot, she successfully deceives Zhou Gongjin. Lancelot acquires the Tianmo Jing and, inspired by Little Grass, begins his journey to dominate the continent.
