Professor Jiro Ueda (played by Hiroshi Abe) from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology is a physicist known as the “Roll Over” professor for publishing the series “Roll Over, Supernormal Phenomena.” These books detail his stories of unmasking many self-proclaimed psychics' scams. In fact, the one who truly unravels these traps is a down-and-out magician named Naoko Yamada (played by Yukie Nakama), the daughter of Japan's first magician, Gōzō Yamada. They often find themselves caught up in incredible mysterious events and thus become partners. One day, a man calling himself Aizawa appears before Jiro Ueda, claiming that a person named Genjō Shibakawa has the superpower to turn words into reality.
