In 2005, after years of conflict between good and evil, the Autobots finally expelled the Decepticons from Earth. However, Megatron led his forces to invade the Autobots' headquarters on the planet Cybertron. Optimus Prime left his warriors, including Ultra Magnus, to guard Earth while he established a secret base on two nearby satellites, planning to deliver a fatal blow to the Decepticons. However, the Decepticons discovered the plan, and Megatron launched an attack on the Autobots on the planet and on Earth. During the battle, Optimus Prime tragically sacrificed himself, while Megatron sustained serious injuries. In his final moments, Optimus Prime passed the Matrix of Leadership to Ultra Magnus. Meanwhile, the evil Unicron sought to destroy the Matrix, saving a betrayed and discarded Megatron, transforming him into the more powerful Galvatron. The new generation of leaders from both Autobots and Decepticons emerged, and the battle between good and evil continued to escalate...
