The story is adapted from Microsoft's game of the same name. In the year 2552, due to overpopulation on Earth, humanity had to start migrating to various planets in space to develop new territory. After a space immigration organization suddenly disappeared, only one warship from the fleet sent to investigate returned to the base. This marked the beginning of the Covenant's invasion of humanity. The technological superiority of the Covenant far surpassed that of Earth, forcing Earth's military to retreat steadily, until humanity had to prepare to venture into the unexplored universe in search of survival. During the exploration, the commander and his team were discovered and pursued by the Covenant fleet. In a critical moment, they found Halo, a massive alien ring world with a diameter of ten thousand kilometers and breathable gas.
