Nurarihyon, the great commander leading the night parade of one hundred demons. Thirteen-year-old Nura Rikuo (voiced by Jun Fukuyama) seems like an ordinary middle school student who has a crush on his classmate’s parent, Kana (voiced by Aya Hirano). However, he is actually one-quarter yokai blood, the grandson of the great yokai "Nurarihyon." He is revered by the yokai of the "Nura Clan" as the young master, with a trusted aide named Oikawa Hikari (voiced by Yui Horie) by his side. Yet, he desires to be an ordinary human, unwilling to accept the fact that he is a yokai and even more reluctant to inherit the position of the third generation leader of the Nura Clan. Four years ago, an accident awakened his yokai blood, temporarily restoring his yokai appearance, but during the day, he reverts to his human form and forgets that he is a yokai. Since then, Nura Rikuo has continued to live a peaceful human life. However, since the day he awakened, he has resolved to inherit the third generation leadership of the Nura Clan, standing at the pinnacle of all demons and becoming the master of spirits and specters.
