In a world after the final war of humanity, the land is covered by a black forest, and humans can only survive on a few lands protected by barriers. Humans invaded by pathogens will burn if they get close to natural fire, and the only fire that can be used safely can only be collected by hunting the black monsters known as "Flame Demons" dwelling deep within the black forest. Thus, a profession specifically for hunting Flame Demons to obtain fire was born, and the legend of the outstanding hunter known as the "King of Fire Hunters" began to spread.
