During his college years, Scott (played by Kevin James) is an ambitious wrestler whose passion for wrestling fills his life with challenges and excitement. He naively believed that this passion would never fade away. However, at the age of 42, Scott suddenly finds himself as a mundane middle-aged teacher, working in a drab environment with no prospects or opportunities for advancement, with a part of him already dead inside. To save costs, the school decides to cut the music program, and music teacher Marty (played by Henry Winkler) is facing imminent dismissal. Marty's tragic fate ignites Scott's fighting spirit, and he decides to help his friend. By entering underground boxing matches, Scott raises funds to keep the music program at the school, but his actions are misunderstood by others. Yet, deep inside Scott, the answer to whether to give up or persevere has long been clear.
