Haruka Oozora (voiced by Kana Ueki) is a lively and cheerful girl, but she often feels insecure due to her height, which makes her stand out in crowds. Originally living in Tokyo, she moved to sunny Okinawa near the sea to attend high school. In Okinawa, she reunited with her cousin, Bika Bifang (voiced by Saki Miyashita). Influenced by Bifang, Haruka starts to get involved in beach volleyball, and what made her feel inferior about her height turns into her advantage in this sport. With the carefree and easygoing Akai (voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki) and the serious and detail-oriented Harimi (voiced by Rie Suegara), Haruka makes a group of like-minded friends through this activity, sweating together on the golden sands by the deep blue sea.
