Photographer Yoshio Shimazu (played by Naoto Takenaka) wants to publish a photography collection dedicated to his late wife, Yoko (played by Miho Nakayama). The title is "Tokyo Daydream." Shimazu hopes to feel the emotions and memories he shared with Yoko through this collection. Yoko, who works at a travel agency, suffers from an endocrine disorder, which causes her to frequently exhibit unusual emotions and behaviors, sometimes even going missing for no reason. Her colleagues and boss notice her abnormalities, but Shimazu continues to love her and strives to protect her from the harsh realities of life. During a trip to Yanagawa, the couple revisits old places, but Yoko's condition worsens, and Shimazu ultimately cannot keep his beloved Yoko.
