"The bell of Gion Shōja tolls, all things in the world are impermanent. The twin sal trees bloom, proclaiming that what flourishes must decline." At the end of the Heian period, the Taira clan is at the height of power, wealth, and influence. A man, Taira no Shigemori, who can see the dead, meets a girl, Biwa, who can see the future.
