Tenka Yuto (voiced by Hirakawa Daisuke) is an introverted boy who lives alone and feels lonely. All he hopes for in life is to pass his remaining days peacefully. However, on his 16th birthday, a black-haired girl named Noihara Himari (voiced by Koizumi Ami) appears before him, while a terrifying monster attacks Yuto. After the battle, Himari informs the stunned Yuto that he is a descendant of the "Oni Exorcist Twelve Families." In the past, the Oni Exorcists acted as guardians of humanity in a world where humans and youkai coexisted. But as time passed, their powers gradually weakened, and most of them ended up in the human world, becoming ordinary people. Now, the youkai's influence seems to be returning, and Yuto must muster his courage to fight in order to protect those he loves from harm.
