In the year 0011 of the Genesis, Earth has lost two-thirds of its population due to a major cataclysm that occurred 11 years ago. The melting of the Antarctic glacial ice has brought back the long-lost Atlantis from 12,000 years ago, awakening the winged "Fallen Angels." They send bio-mechanical weapons called "Mythical Beasts" into human cities, capturing humans and extracting a biological energy source known as "Purana." On the other hand, humanity is determined to fight back and excavates three hybrid fighter jets called "Vector Machines" from underwater ruins. These are the legendary weapons that forced the Fallen Angels into a corner of extinction 12,000 years ago. With the combination of the Vector Machines, the mechanical angel "Aquarion" is about to emerge. To activate Aquarion, a person known as "Element" is required, someone who can resonate with and respond to the mechanical life of the machine. This demands particularly acute senses and a pure soul, hence, teenagers around the age of fifteen are selected as pilots and gathered together.
