The stage is set in the "Blue World," symbolizing reason; however, it is currently under attack and invasion by the lifeform Nightfly O’Note from the instinct-driven "Red World." The 17-year-old protagonist, Akira Asakura, works as a researcher in the Blue World and is soon promoted to the front-line combat commander due to her outstanding abilities, tasked with overseeing the external defense organization known as "Ryuukyuu LAG," which spans Ishigaki Island and Iriomote Island. There, she meets the students of the sixth combat unit "IS," founded four years ago after the fifth combat unit was annihilated in a fierce battle.
