Glenda Jackson ([Women in Love]) will star in the BBC's new film [Elizabeth Is Missing] (Elizabeth Is Missing, working title), marking her return to the big screen after 25 years. Directed by Aisling Walsh ([Maudie]), with the screenplay by Andreé Gib and based on the novel of the same name by Emma Healey, the story revolves around an elderly woman named Maud. Her best friend Elizabeth has gone missing, and Maud believes something terrible has happened and begins to unravel the mystery. As her dementia worsens, time becomes increasingly urgent. Filming will begin this summer in Scotland.
