The long-standing war between the E.U. Alliance and the Britannia Empire saw a turning point in the imperial calendar year 2010, when the Empire launched an overwhelming military assault on the Far East. In a very short time, the nation of Japan ceased to exist, entering history as "Area 11." The former Japanese people scattered across the globe, suffering discrimination, filled with resentment and discontent. In 2017, the E.U. Allied Forces' 132nd unit advanced toward St. Petersburg but was surrounded by the imperial army, facing the danger of annihilation. Major Leila Malukal (voiced by Sakamoto Maaya) formed the irregular W Zero force from the youths of old Japan and proposed a plan to rescue the 132nd unit. However, they were burdened with the tragic fate of sacrificing themselves to save their comrades on the most dangerous frontlines.
