At a banquet, composer Hannah (Juno Temple) encounters a producer named Theo (Simon Pegg). Theo's witty and humorous conversation quickly captures Hannah's attention, and they decide to collaborate on something new together. However, Hannah soon discovers that sometimes Theo acts as if he were a completely different person. Eventually, Hannah realizes that Theo suffers from schizophrenia, which he controls with medication; if he stops taking it, he transforms into a "demonic version" of another self. The torment of mental illness causes Theo immense pain, leading him to even consider isolating himself. During Theo's episodes, Hannah remains by his side, encouraging and caring for this man in despair. Not only that, but Hannah also has to juggle her own composing career.
