In July 2012, at the 38th reunion of Busan Gwangan High School, 33-year-old Jeong Shi-won (played by Jung Eun-ji), who has been a television writer for 10 years, reminisces with her old friends about their tumultuous high school days filled with youthful exuberance. The narrative unfolds around Shi-won's family and her friends, gradually revealing memories intertwined in a layered storytelling. Going back to 1997, when Shi-won was 18 and an ardent fan of H.O.T, she had parents who argued but deeply loved each other, and she was unknowingly protected by her childhood friend Yoon Yoon-jae (played by Seo In-guk). The two are surrounded by a group of friends, including Kang Joon-hee (played by Lee Howon), Do Hak-chan (played by Eun Ji-won), and others with diverse personalities, while Yoon-jae’s talented older brother, Tae-young (played by Song Jong-ho), serves as their mentor. At an age where they would risk everything for a trivial matter, the six friends experience the growth and transformation of friendship, kinship, and love, gradually choosing different paths in life. Fifteen years later, they gather again at the reunion table, and each person's life direction and emotional resolutions will slowly be revealed... Set against the vibrant backdrop of 90s South Korea during the rise of H.O.T and Sechskies, the drama vividly recreates South Korean fan culture and high school life. The extensive use of Busan dialect is also a notable feature. After airing on Korea's tvN cable channel, the series achieved record high viewership ratings.
