Taku (played by Sato Takeru) joins the drama club in college, determined to achieve success on stage. However, after graduating, like most fresh graduates, he abandons acting, puts on a suit and tie, and rushes between interview venues for various companies. Mizuki (played by Arimura Kasumi) and Koutarou (played by Suda Masaki) are Taku's classmates and friends; they were once a couple but broke up, and now Taku continues to secretly harbor feelings for Mizuki. Mizuki bears the heavy burden of supporting her family, so she works especially hard in her job search, while Koutarou, who was once the lead singer of a band and used to a carefree lifestyle, also joins the job hunting fray. The immense pressure, countless competitors, and scarce job offers lead Taku to feel a subtle distortion within as he watches Mizuki and Koutarou secure positions one after another.
