Harada Takumi (voiced by Uchiyama Kōki) seems destined to become a pitcher, possessing great talent in baseball and earning countless praise and honors along the way. After entering junior high school, Takumi arrives in the picturesque and quaint city of Nitta, where he is about to begin his junior high life. By chance, a boy named Nagakura Go (voiced by Hatakakuna Yū) manages to catch the ball that Takumi throws with all his might. Their encounter sets the wheels of fate in motion. Takumi and Go join the Nitta East Junior High School baseball club, where they meet many like-minded friends—silent and reserved captain Kainji Ikki (voiced by Umehara Yūichirō), gentle and considerate Sawaguchi Fumito (voiced by Murase Ayumu), confident Yoshizada Nobuhiro (voiced by Saitō Somata), and serious Zengizi Eiji (voiced by Morishima Shūtai).
