In the mid-20th century, the dark and eerie Room 6 in Dormitory 2 of the Shonan Special Juvenile Institution welcomed new residents: the injured and attempted murderer, Makoto Mizu, voiced by Shun Oguri; the strong and robust Tadayoshi Toyama, voiced by Takaya Kuroda; the habitual thief and fraudster Noboru Maeda, voiced by Rumi Park; the foreign handsome figure, Jou Yokosuka, voiced by Tatsuya Hasumi; the violent and alcoholic brute, Mansaku Matsuura, voiced by Tomohiro Waki; and the cunning and clever Ryuji Nomoto, voiced by Keiji Fujiwara. Their dark pasts and sad childhoods filled their futures with despair. Fortunately, their senior, Rokurou Sakuragi, voiced by Rikiya Koyama, took on the responsibility of educating the boys. In the chaotic and dark juvenile facility within the messy post-war Japanese society, Sakuragi and the six youths steadfastly pursued their bright dreams… This film is adapted from the manga of the same name by Jouni Abe (with illustrations by Masasumi Kakizaki).
